Nerve Testing (EMG/NCS) provides accurate and comprehensive data to help diagnose nerve and muscle conditions. This test includes two parts: Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), which measure how well your nerves transmit electrical signals using mild stimulation and surface electrodes; and Electromyography (EMG), which evaluates muscle activity at rest and during contraction through a small pin inserted into the muscle. These tests help detect conditions like neuropathies, myopathies, muscular dystrophy, and ALS, offering your doctor critical information to manage your care effectively.
The NCS/EMG test is safe, reliable, and easy. To prepare, avoid using lotions on the day of the test, inform us if you have a pacemaker or defibrillator, and provide details about any medications you’re taking—especially if you use aspirin.
Joint Ultrasound Testing (Musculoskeletal Ultrasound) is a safe, noninvasive, and highly effective way to evaluate joints, muscles, ligaments, and nerves. Unlike X-rays, CT scans, or MRIs, this advanced imaging uses only sonic waves—no radiation—making it a safer option for diagnosing many musculoskeletal conditions. It provides real-time imaging, allowing doctors to observe structures both at rest and in motion, which helps improve diagnostic accuracy.
Our diagnostic specialists work closely with patients and referring physicians to ensure a comfortable experience and deliver the most valuable diagnostic information. Musculoskeletal ultrasound is quick, reliable, and can be a crucial part of identifying the right treatment for your condition.
