Functional Capacity and Work-Related Testing
This category of evaluations is focused on determining whether individuals can safely and effectively meet the physical demands of their job roles. These evaluations are commonly used for return-to-work decisions, disability determination, and pre-employment screenings. By comparing your current functional abilities to job-specific requirements, our tests help employers, physicians, and patients make informed, safety-first decisions.
Who Benefits from These Evaluations?

Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
Time: 2–4 hours
The FCE is an in-depth evaluation that measures your ability to perform physical tasks required for your job. It may include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and job simulation activities. It is often used for return-to-work planning, disability determinations, or guiding rehabilitation plans.
Test options: General FCE, Job-Specific FCE, Return-to-Work FCE, Disability Determination FCE
Work Evaluation
Time: 30–45 minutes
This condensed evaluation assesses general physical capabilities, making it ideal when a full FCE is not needed. It’s useful for early-stage screenings or when making quick decisions about work capacity in lower-risk scenarios.
Fit For Duty Evaluation
Time: 30–40 minutes
This evaluation determines whether you can safely perform the essential duties of your job following an injury or medical condition. It’s focused on job-specific tasks and helps ensure your return to work doesn’t compromise safety or performance.
Employment Screen
Time: 30–40 minutes
This evaluation is typically used during the hiring process to verify that a candidate can safely and effectively perform the physical tasks required by the role. It reduces the risk of workplace injuries and ensures ADA-compliant hiring practices.
Test options: General or Job-Specific Employment Screen
